Service Worship: Sometimes our 5th Sundays spent in community service projects. Easter 2013 is an exception. After a brief worship service at our regular times (8:45 am Source and 10:15 am Bridge), we take on projects in the community like serving lunch at a shelter, cleaning up a school yard, helping a senior citizen with their yard, writing cards to the elderly, and much more. To volunteer, contact Mark Teagle markteagle@prodigy.net

Service

Panda

Project Panda at Stocklmeir Elementary School: Good Samaritan recruits community volunteers to serve at Stocklmeir Elementary as classroom helpers, Project Cornerstone aides, and for special events. Volunteers need a current TB test and provided training. To volunteer, contact Mark Teagle markteagle@prodigy.net

Adopt-A-Miracle outreach to women in recovery: Once a month fun nights are put on for women in residential recovery programs showing that clean, sober fun and fellowship can be a reality. To volunteer, contact Mark Teagle markteagle@prodigy.net

Adopt-A-Miracle

Shelter-1

Men’s Rotating Shelter program: As part of Faith in Action, Good Samaritan is one of 12 churches that host the Rotating Shelter. During the month of September each year we house and feed 15 men who are in transitional housing. We have volunteers who cook, shop, and host the men who are our guests during that month. To volunteer, contact Mark Teagle markteagle@prodigy.net

San Jose Family Shelter meals: One Sunday a month Good Samaritan volunteers cook a meal at the San Jose Family Shelter. To volunteer, contact Mark Teagle markteagle@prodigy.net

The Refuge Rock Concert Ministry: Many Friday and Saturday nights the Good Samaritan Fellowship Hall becomes “The Refuge”, a venue for rock concerts that bring countless young people through our doors. Good Sam volunteers hang out and engage young people in faith conversations or just provide a listening ear. To volunteer, contact Mark Teagle markteagle@prodigy.net
